Volunteer and Observation Opportunities

  • All volunteers and observers must complete the online application at http://tinyurl.com/iusdvolunteerapp before volunteering or observing. Coordinate with the front office and bring a valid ID in order to complete the screening .

Volunteers and observers:

  • Must be vaccinated and present proof of vaccination (original COVID-19 vaccination record or an electronic vaccination record) to the school’s office staff and be processed through the Raptor System, as well as follow all site level volunteering practices.  Our ECLC Office Assistants can assist you with this process when you are ready to follow this process and after you have completed the online application.

  • Masks must be worn at all times in our facilities.

  • Must read the IUSD Volunteer Handbook and sign off with office staff- please allocate time during your first scheduled volunteer or observation day or prior to your first volunteer or observation day.

  • Must sign out before they leave campus.

  • Must agree to the COVID-19 Symptom Free Attestations

    1. By entering the school campus, all visitors are attesting to the following:

      1. “I am not experiencing any of the following symptoms associated with COVID-19: temperature of 100.4 (feeling feverish) or with chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.”

      2. “In the past two weeks, I have not had close contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19.  This could include a person that has been tested for COVID-19 (because of possible infection) and is waiting for test results.”

  • To volunteer or observe in preschool settings and interact with students, volunteers and observers must meet the requirements outlined in Tier 1 and Tier 3 on the Volunteer Signature Verification. Tier 3 includes the requirement to provide proof of immunization against influenza, pertussis, and  measles (Senate Bill No 792 – CA Health and Safety Code 1596.7995)

  • Must have proof of a Negative TB test within the last year.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age. 

  •  Remain under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher and never left alone with children.

  •  All classroom visitations, observations, and volunteer times must be scheduled in advance.

  • Siblings are not allowed to accompany parents while volunteering or observing.

  • If volunteer time adversely impacts the learning of your student or the learning of others, ECLC staff reserve the right to limit your participation in volunteering.
